One Of Those Unforgettable Day.😍❤️

Image
Medicines are essential to our lives, because when we get sick, the only thing we need to get well is medicine. We need medicine from our childhood till the day we die. The certificate awarding ceremony of the medicine course I completed was held recently with great pomp. I can safely say that that day was a memorable and very happy day in my life. It was held at the BMICH premises. My friend and I both attended it. My family and my friend’s family left by car to go to the BMICH premises in Colombo to attend it. When we got there, the people who had joined us for the course had already arrived. I also received a gold medal there. It was a memorable day in my life, it made me very happy. It was a very happy day for my mother and father. The pride and smiles on their faces were the greatest gift I received. My friends and I were very happy that day. That night, our entire family celebrated this achievement together, a memory that I will never forget.

Trincomalee With The Sea..💙🌊💙

Image
During the last vacation, we left home early in the morning with our family to visit Trincomalee. After a long journey, the blue sea we saw when we reached the city soothed our tiredness. We first went to see the historic  Koneswaram Temple, which is located on a high hill. The view of the Indian Ocean from there was very beautiful and the sight of the "Lovers Leap" cliff made us a little scared and curious. There are many places to visit in Jaffna like the Kanniya Hot Springs, Koneswaram Temple, Welgam Vehera, Paravi Island and Coral Reefs. After that, we went to see the Frederick Fort built during the Dutch rule and the herd of deer there was a feast for our eyes. After lunch, we enjoyed the beauty of the Trincomalee Harbor, the largest natural harbor in Sri Lanka. That evening, we went to the Nilaveli beach and had a great time playing with the waves. We went to the city market and did not forget to buy some fresh dried fish and souvenirs there. We took pictures of the swe...

Jaffna Trip ❤️❤️

Image
My friends and I completed our IT course and went on a trip to Jaffna. We boarded the train from Thambuttegama railway station. As soon as we passed Thalawa railway station, the train slowed down. We looked out the window to see what was happening. I saw many people stretching ropes on both sides of the railway track. Here is a rope that we also bought. A polythene cover was hung on the rope. We opened it to see what was inside. It had boiled jackfruit and sambol. It was a different kind of dansala. Very tasty. The most beautiful dansala I have ever seen.  After that, we took pictures while we were on the train and went straight to Jaffna railway station. When we reached Jaffna, we could see a beautiful environment full of palm trees, unique to the north. Although the climate there was quite harsh, the cool breeze that blew gave us a lot of relief. After getting off there, we first went to eat something. Since there are a lot of Tamil people in Jaffna, we eagerly ate thosey and vad...

My Family 💓💓

Image
My favorite place is my home. My father, my mother, my two brothers and I live in my family. My father is the head of the family and he is the strength and protection of our family. My mother is a very kind person and she lights up the whole house. She looks after our every need and prepares delicious food for us. I have two brothers and they give me a lot of strength and support in my life. We three brothers spend time with each other very much and love each other. The main feature in our family is mutual respect for each other. In any sorrow or happiness, my family members are the first to be by my side. The free and peaceful environment at home is a great help in my educational endeavors. My parents always show us the right path and teach us good virtues. My family has taught me to stay together even in difficult times. The freedom and trust my family gives me is the main reason for my development. No matter where I go in the world, my home is the place where I feel the most and saf...

Low Country Dance 💃💃❤️

Image
Low Country Dance is a very colorful and rustic dance tradition that is widespread in the coastal areas of Sri Lanka (especially in the southern provinces such as Galle, Matara, Bentara and Hambantota). It is also known as "Ruhunu Dance". Low Country Dance is mainly based on rituals. It is used to cure diseases and ailments of people and is closely linked to "faith and belief".  * Devol Maduwa : A ritual performed for the gods.  * Yak Thovil : A ritual performed for the devils to cure sick people (e.g. Rata Yakuma, Sanni Yakuma). The main percussion instrument of Pahatarata dance is the Yak Beraya (Pahatarata Beraya or Devol Beraya). This is a cylindrical drum played from both sides.   Low country dance has lower body movements and faster footwork than high country dance. It is common for the dancer to wear a white cloth, a red sash around the waist, and a belt with a "gejji" across the chest. A distinctive feature of low country dance is the use of mas...

Wesak Full Moon Poya Day 🙏🤍🤍

Image
Vesak Full Moon Poya Day is the most important and noblest religious day for Buddhists around the world. It is also known as the "Great Festival" of Buddhists all over the world. Vesak Day is significant because three major events in the life of Siddhartha Gautama Buddha occurred on that day: * Birth : The birth of Prince Siddhartha in the                 Lumbini Sal Garden.  * Enlightenment : The attainment of the supreme           enlightenment in Bodh Gaya.  * Parinibbana : The passing away of the Buddha at        the Upavattana Sal Garden of the Malla kings in        Kusinara.  The Buddha arrived in Kelaniya on his third visit to Lanka at the invitation of the Naga King Maniakkhita on a Vesak Poya day. It is believed that Prince Vijaya and his entourage arrived in Sri Lanka on Vesak Day, marking the beginning of the Sinhalese nation. Buddhists follow two ...
